Description en-US: The Mathematics Unit, in the Division of Curriculum, provides direction and leadership to the mathematics programs, Kindergarten-Grade 12. Mathematics staff assist districts statewide with implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for mathematics; oversee the development and management of the TexTeams programs; collaborate with the Division of Student Assessment regarding Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) mathematics assessments; and assist the Textbook Division in overseeing the textbook adoption process for K-12 mathematics instructional materials.
